A recent report revealed that over the past two decades, the global climate crisis has led to daily damages averaging $391 million. These damages are a result of various extreme events such as wildfires, heatwaves, and droughts,

which can be attributed to climate change. From 2000 to 2019, the costs associated with these events added up to over a hundred billion dollars annually, according to a study published in the journal Nature Communications.

The report highlighted that approximately $143 billion per year of these costs can be linked to climatic change, with the majority (63%) of these costs attributed to human loss of life, while the rest arises from the destruction of property and other assets.
