The Next CM of Rajasthan: BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP and newly elected MLA from Sawai Madhopur, Kirori Lal Meena, said in Delhi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always surprises everyone with his decisions.
Rajasthan Next CM: It’s been three days since the results of the assembly elections in Rajasthan were announced. While discussions about leadership are ongoing in all three states in Delhi, the newly elected BJP MLAs are continuing meetings with the party’s state leaders in Jaipur. These legislators are meeting with BJP’s state president CP Joshi at his residence and the party’s state office. Additionally, many legislators are also meeting former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
Some within the BJP believe that the way MLAs are being contacted for meetings might be signaling the start of a new kind of pressure politics within the party. However, the party leadership is closely monitoring such activities. Over the last two days, more than three dozen MLAs have met at the residence of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Among them are her staunch supporters and legislators who have clear confidence in the decisions made by the central leadership. Some of these MLAs are being told that they should offer their support if Raje gives her consent.
Awaiting the Meeting of Legislators’ Group According to party’s top sources, the leadership intends to announce the Chief Minister’s name for the region this week. Discussions with all leaders are ongoing. Along with the chosen face for the Chief Minister, the announcement for the legislators’ group meeting will also be made. Observers will be present. If needed, the regular process of seeking opinions from legislators will also be carried out. It is being said that by the end of this week, the party might come to some decision or the other.
There was a whole day of interactions and meetings at the BJP state office. Legislators also met with other functionaries. Independent legislators Ravindra Singh Bhati and another independent legislator met with Joshi at his residence. Some senior legislators mentioned that, being senior leaders of the party, there should not be a different interpretation of courtesy meetings with Raje.
