As part of the airshow, the Weekend@Airshow, previously known as Public Days, is set for February 24-25, offering the public an opportunity to experience thrilling aerobatic flying displays and explore the latest commercial and military aircraft.

Despite recent safety concerns surrounding Boeing, the event will feature the participation of major aerospace and defense companies, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Dassault, SAAB, Leonardo, and Thales.

The airshow serves as a platform for these companies to showcase their innovations, forge partnerships, and unveil new developments in the aviation industry.

Boeing will showcase its wide-body 777X passenger plane through a cabin display, emphasizing its status as the world’s largest twin-engine jet, despite facing delivery delays.

Notable aircraft manufacturers like COMAC and Boeing have secured significant orders amid a rebound in post-pandemic travel demand, indicating the resilience of the aviation industry despite supply constraints.

More than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries are expected to participate in the biennial commercial and defense-focused event, underscoring its global significance in the aerospace sector.

Attendees can expect to witness flying displays featuring military aircraft from various countries, alongside commercial jets such as the COMAC C919 and the Airbus A350-1000, powered by sustainable aviation fuel.

While some Russian companies have opted out due to geopolitical tensions, Israeli companies are in attendance, highlighting the international scope of the airshow and its ability to foster cross-border collaborations.

Despite its timing early in the year, the Singapore Airshow remains a pivotal event in the aviation calendar, albeit typically seeing fewer major order announcements compared to other renowned airshows held later in the year.

The event serves as a barometer for assessing the health of the aviation industry, providing insights into post-pandemic travel trends and market dynamics.

The Singapore Airshow 2024 promises to be a dynamic and influential gathering, offering a platform for industry leaders, aviation enthusiasts, and stakeholders to converge, network, and explore the latest advancements shaping the future of aviation.

Amid challenges and uncertainties, the airshow underscores the resilience and adaptability of the aviation sector, reaffirming its pivotal role in driving global connectivity, economic growth, and technological innovation.
