After Facebook-Reliance deal, JioMart goes live on WhatsApp
After the social media giant Facebook and Reliance Jio signed a $5.7 billion deal, JioMart has gone live on WhatsApp, Basically it is a commercial agreement between Whatsapp & RelianceJio and this is for the online venture JioMart.
Reliance has roped in lakhs of small scale businesses and Kirana stores for the services and it will allow the customers to place an order for essential stuff through WhatsApp.
In a simple words, JioMart is Reliance’s online to offline business platform that would allow users to place orders online but pay at the store.
Due to Corona outbreak it will be win-win situation for Relaince Reliance is getting the benefit of whatsapp user base which is around 400 bilion in India.
To use JioMart customers first have to save 8850008000 number on their mobile phone. A link will be given to customers from JioMart where the order can be placed.
Reliance is very excited with this project and calling it the new store in the country and it is being told that under this, the company has placed millions of grocery stores on its platform. Currently, this service is being started in select areas of Mumbai such as Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan.
