MG Hector-Top Budget Friendly and Easy To Drive Car in India
MG motor launched a much awaited car that is MG Hector in June 2019. Its features are already displayed in April 2019 and this is really awesome . MG motor is the subsidiary of Shanghai based Chinese state-owned automotive SAIC motor.
MG motor acquired halol plant from General motor and made an investment of Rs2000 Crore. The plant has the capacity of 80,000 cars per annum. The first plant was inaugurated in October 2017.

According to British carmaker, the name Hector takes inspiration from various sources, all with reference to Europe. First off, the Hawker Hector which served as a biplane in the British royal army in the 1930s. Second, Prince Hector of Troy , the warrior who fought valiantly in the Trojan war.

The 2019 Hector will share its platform and styling with the 530 SUV from Baujon, another carmaker like MG motor that comes under SAIC. As per the latest teasers, The Hector appears to be identical to the Baujon SUV save for the MG badge.

MG is targeting 75% localization with Hector at launch. It is expected to be priced between Rs15 lakh to 20 Lakh. The MG Hector will go up against the Tata harrier, Hyundai Tucson and Mahindra XUV500.

The MG Hector will be the longest car in its segment in terms of overall length and wheelbase as well, that too by wide margin. It will also be towering than the Jeep compass and the Hyundai Tucson.

The India-spec model is expected to offer a class-leading 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded controls for the air con. The latest video delivered by MG Motor India has also confirmed that the Hector will feature a panoramic sunroof! The Compass and the Tucson are the SUVs in the segment which characterise a panoramic sunroof, but those variants are priced upward of Rs 20 lakh.
7) 5 Seater at launch and 7 seater later
Similar to Tata Harrier, the MG Hector will also get a 7-seat version later. In fact, Baojun has recently introduced 7-seat 530 in the Chinese market. The 5-seat and 7-seat versions of the MG SUV will be similar in terms of exterior design and size, like the Baojun 530.
